A police interview under caution is a formal question-and-answer session. You have the right to free legal advice before and during the interview.

You do not have to answer questions. You can choose to stay silent. Anything you say may be given in evidence.

The police must tell you why you have been arrested or asked to attend. They should explain your rights.

Interviews are usually recorded. You can request a copy of the recording.
